Manage fruit ripening quality at Gambles using inspection, grading, and cycle planning across the Dwight Warehouse and both locations.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, this position oversees inbound receiving, ripening, and post-ripening handling. You will align cycles with demand forecasts while protecting product quality and shelf life. The work includes collaboration with Sales, Buying, and Quality Control teams.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee receiving, staging, ripening, and post-ripening fruit handling
Conduct inspections and develop product-specific ripening cycles
Sort and grade fruit using colour and ripeness charts
Align ripening cycles with demand and forecasts
Maintain sanitation, supplies, inventory, and room organization
Requirements: Minimum two years quality control or ripening experience
Previous produce handling experience required
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Ability to identify produce condition and grade defects
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in cold storage
Apply fruit inspection, grading, and ripening expertise while supporting Gambles quality standards across its warehouse operations.
