This permanent, full-time unionized position supports equipment reliability within CBN’s secure print and technology company. You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, fabricate parts using lathes, mills, and grinders, and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The work includes production and engineering support.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment issues
Fabricate and modify parts using manual machines
Rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves
Install, align, and level current equipment




Perform preventative maintenance and document completed work
Requirements: General Machinist 429A or Industrial Mechanic 433A certification
Proficiency with manual lathes, mills, and grinders
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
Ability to work all shifts and required overtime
Apply mechanical troubleshooting, machining, and maintenance expertise while supporting CBN equipment at Ottawa’s secure technology facilities.
