As a Claims Specialist I, you will handle commercial property claims ranging from minor to complex severity. The work includes investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution. You will develop strategies, manage reserves, verify coverage, and collaborate with stakeholders, counsel, adjusters, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities: Direct examination of medium-severity commercial property claims
Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and adjust assigned claims
Verify coverage through detailed policy analysis
Develop case strategies and evaluations for timely resolution
Monitor vendors, adjusters, and counsel within accepted protocols
Requirements: Insurance industry knowledge
Ideally one to three years of claims adjustment experience
Superior oral and written communication skills
Commercial property experience considered an asset
Legal background or CIP considered an asset
Apply commercial property expertise, coverage analysis, and claims judgment to support effective outcomes for WSI clients.
