Provide transitional nursing care at North Bay Regional Health Centre’s Cartier Site, using assessment, critical thinking, and patient-centered approaches. Bilingualism is required.
As a Registered Nurse in the 40-bed Alternate Health Facility, you will support patients transitioning from acute care toward rehabilitation, long-term care, retirement living, or other post-acute settings. You will work with physicians, nurses, personal support workers, and support services. The role requires medical-surgical and palliative care experience, IV therapy, central line management, and specialized patient care knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: Provide total patient care in an acute medicine setting
Assess patients and deliver critical nursing interventions
Manage central venous lines, enteral feeding,



and wound care
Provide tracheostomy and suctioning care
Teach health information to individuals and groups
Requirements: Current Ontario nursing registration in positive standing
Current Basic Life Support certificate issued within twelve months
Recent medical-surgical and palliative care experience
Current IV therapy and central line management certificate
Advanced English and French bilingualism required
