This Dental Hygienist position supports new patient assessments, preventive treatments, and preparation for dental procedures. Responsibilities include sterilization, polishing, fluoride treatments, impressions, bleaching trays, scaling, root-planing, charting, medical history updates, and oral hygiene instruction. Saturday coverage is included, with another registered dental hygienist potentially hired for Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities: Complete current patient assessments and comprehensive dental examinations
Perform digital radiography and chart patient information
Provide polishing, fluoride treatments, scaling, and root-planing
Take dental impressions for study models and bleaching trays
Sterilize instruments and prepare patients for procedures
Requirements: Registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
Availability Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, alternating Fridays, and Saturdays
Ability to update patients’ medical histories accurately
Ability to provide oral hygiene instructions to patients
