Support electroconvulsive therapy at Alberta Hospital Edmonton using respiratory care expertise, patient assessment, and emergency intervention skills. This temporary part-time role works daytime shifts.
As an Adult Acute Services ECT Respiratory Therapist I, you will coordinate secure treatment delivery for inpatients and outpatients. Assess patients, develop respiratory care plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with clinical teams. Educate patients, families, and healthcare providers about diseases, medications, equipment, and treatments.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate safe electroconvulsive therapy delivery
Welcome patients, families, and caregivers
Set up treatment areas and verify equipment availability
Provide emergency interventions and recovery room support
Deliver respiratory care in ICU, wards, and emergency
Requirements: Active or eligible CARTA registration
Graduate of a recognized Respiratory Therapy school
Eligible for or passed the CBRC certification exam
Current BLS-HCP certification
ECT experience strongly preferred
Apply respiratory assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills across ECT and hospital respiratory care services.
