Support resident engagement and well-being as a Recreation Therapy Aide at AgeCare Walden Heights in Calgary, Alberta, working part time.
This temporary position supports planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities for residents. You will help maintain skills, develop independence, build relationships, and foster social connections. The work includes documentation, program evaluation, resource maintenance, and quality improvement in a care workplace.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities
Complete assessments, care planning, coding, notes, and calendars
Evaluate recreation programming and contribute to quality improvement
Maintain supplies and equipment under infection control standards
Work days, evenings,



weekends, and statutory holidays
Requirements: Diploma or degree in recreation, therapeutic recreation, or related studies
Current enrollment with completion expected within three years
Healthcare or long-term care recreation experience considered an asset
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
Bring recreation programming, documentation, and adaptive service skills to support residents at AgeCare Walden Heights in Calgary.
