Apply polymer formulation and analytical skills as an R&D; Co-op Student with IPEX in Mississauga, Ontario, for Winter 2027.
IPEX’s R&D; Group develops polymer formulations, tests products against standards, troubleshoots field failures, and evaluates recent ingredients. This student role reports to the R&D; Team Leader and supports IPEX’s product portfolio. You will work with PVC, CPVC, ABS, PE, PP, and PVDF polymers while contributing to laboratory and processing projects.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute to new and existing vinyl formulation development
Evaluate physical, mechanical, chemical, thermal, and rheological polymer properties
Participate in extrusion and injection molding trials
Use analytical and statistical tools to investigate product failures




Write technical reports and present experimental findings
Requirements: Work toward Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related degree
Consider equivalent Materials Science or Polymer Science education
Follow required Standard Operating Procedures
Demonstrate communication and problem-solving abilities
Bring structured, results-oriented, professional conduct
Develop practical polymer research experience through formulation, testing, analysis, and technical reporting at IPEX in Mississauga.
