Lead animal welfare operations in Dawson Creek as an Animal Centre Manager with the BC SPCA, guiding staff, volunteers, and animal care.
This full time, permanent manager leads approximately 10 staff and more than 15 volunteers at the South Peace Community Animal Centre. The work includes sheltering, outreach, pound services, and animal transfers. You will oversee welfare standards, administration, finances, fundraising, and community relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Lead staff and volunteers across daily Animal Centre operations
Ensure animal health, welfare, and policy compliance
Manage recruitment, scheduling, performance, and volunteer programs
Administer budgets, expenses, revenues, and required reports




Represent BC SPCA services through events and community relationships
Requirements: Post-secondary education and five years of related experience
At least three years of supervisory experience
Animal welfare, fundraising, volunteer management, and financial experience
Knowledge of Five Freedoms and animal welfare standards
Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence and Microsoft Office skills
Bring compassionate leadership, animal welfare knowledge, and operational management skills to the BC SPCA’s Dawson Creek centre.
