This Automation Technician/Red Seal Electrician maintains mining automation equipment and components according to defined specifications. The position commissions recent automation equipment, completes customer-site training, and supports field service needs. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, preventive repairs, reporting, safety procedures, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and service mining automation equipment and components
Commission automation products through inspections and operational testing
Perform root cause analysis and resolve standard customer problems




Complete maintenance reports for internal and external stakeholders
Coach customer technicians on servicing and maintenance principles
Requirements: Red Seal Heavy Duty Electrician license
Three years related mining equipment experience considered an asset
Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot mining equipment issues
Hold a valid driver’s license and travel across Western Canada
Work varied shifts and remain legally eligible in Canada
Bring electrical diagnosis, automation commissioning, and mining equipment maintenance expertise to Sandvik Mining field service assignments across Western Canada.
