Coordinate weekend volunteers through welcoming leadership, practical preparation, and support for Legato, Weekend Meals, and Communion Prep teams.
The Weekends Ministry Assistant supports, equips, and empowers volunteers serving the church community. Reporting to the Worship and Weekends Pastor, this position helps teams succeed through communication, direction, and preparation. Working hours total 10–12 hours weekly, including Saturdays, Sundays, and versatile weekday time.
Key Responsibilities: Support Legato, Weekend Meals, and Communion Prep volunteers
Assist the Weekends Coordinator with additional volunteer teams
Answer questions and direct volunteers during service
Prepare weekend spaces by unlocking doors and turning on lights
Ensure volunteers have necessary items to serve
Requirements: Complete a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Complete the Abuse Prevention process
Demonstrate competencies and desire to work closely with people
Lead, direct, and recruit potential volunteers
Love people, Jesus, and His church
Support weekend ministry through volunteer coordination, welcoming interaction, space preparation, and practical service leadership.
