This auxiliary Building Service Worker position serves facilities throughout Delta. You will maintain floors and surfaces, replenish washroom supplies, handle refuse and recycling, and assist the public. The work requires janitorial knowledge, courteous communication, and the ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Vacuum, sweep, wash, wax, and polish floors
Clean windows, doors, shelves, walls, and surfaces
Clean washrooms and replenish required supplies
Collect and dispose of refuse and recycling
Ensure building security and assist the public
Requirements: Building Service Worker Certificate
Valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s Licence
Knowledge of janitorial methods, materials, tools, and equipment
Ability to communicate courteously with internal and external contacts
Ability to perform heavy lifting with minimal supervision
Use your janitorial knowledge, facility care, and public assistance skills supporting City of Delta buildings across three communities.
