Facilitate communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students as a Sign Language Interpreter with the York Region District School Board. Interpret between spoken and signed language in school settings.

This position supports students, teachers, support staff, parents, and others involved in educational programs. You will provide interpretation in regular classes and integrated settings, prepare classroom materials, and support student access. The posting may lead to casual, temporary, or permanent assignments.

Requirements:

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma required
• Three-year recognized interpreter training diploma or university degree
• Graduation from an accredited interpreter training program
• Minimum one year of related experience
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required before starting
