YMCA Northumberland seeks a full-time supervisor and educator for its kindergarten and school-age programs. The position oversees daily operations while following YMCA Place to Connect curriculum and quality guidelines. Strong candidates plan developmentally appropriate activities, communicate with families, and guide frontline educators.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise five staff across two centre rooms
Plan programs and environments supporting developmental progress
Observe and assess children’s progress and behaviour routinely
Communicate with families, staff, and community contacts




Maintain student attendance and health records
Requirements: Two-year Early Childhood Education diploma or approved qualification
Three or more years’ childcare program experience may qualify
Ontario College registration in valuable standing, if applicable
Knowledge of CCEYA and ministry licensing requirements
Current Intermediate First Aid and CPR certification, Level C
Bring leadership, curriculum planning, and child development skills to YMCA Gummow’s before and afterschool programs in Cobourg.
