Review mortgage documentation and support credit decisions as an Associate Mortgage Underwriter in Vancouver, applying due diligence and regulatory guidelines.
Reporting to the Manager, Third Party Residential Underwriting, this full time position supports First National’s Canadian Mortgage Broker channel. You will review income, down payment, and property documents while identifying potential risk. The work requires careful documentation, timely responses, and communication with brokers and external partners.
Key Responsibilities: Review required mortgage documentation for accuracy and completeness
Verify income, down payment, and property information
Escalate documentation issues to the Underwriter
Document clear notes within the underwriting system




Respond to inquiries within established turnaround times
Requirements: Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
Financial Services experience preferred
Mortgage industry experience considered an asset
Mortgage Agent Course completion considered an asset
Working knowledge of Windows-based PC software
Apply mortgage documentation review, credit decision support, and broker communication skills within First National’s Vancouver underwriting team.
