Reporting to the Director of Care, this Registered Nurse collaborates on individualized care within competency. The position requires knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing. It also emphasizes teamwork, resident safety, ethical practice, and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate nursing and other resident services within the neighbourhood
Lead shift reports and communicate changes in resident status
Record significant condition changes in residents' charts
Process physician orders and ensure timely implementation
Promote resident safety, health, and freedom from harm
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
Registration and good standing with the provincial registry
Knowledge of applicable nursing legislation and standards
Knowledge of activation, nursing, and personnel administration
Bring Registered Nursing expertise, resident safety awareness, and long-term care knowledge to AgeCare's Kelowna care community.
