Support clinical laboratory services as a Medical Laboratory Assistant with Shared Health, working in person on day shifts during a maternity term.
This Clinical position belongs to the MAHCP union and carries a 0.70 FTE. Previous related experience is preferred, alongside medical laboratory assistant education, medical terminology, and sterile techniques. The successful candidate follows accurate instructions, protects confidentiality, and communicates effectively in English.
Key Responsibilities: Perform Medical Laboratory Assistant duties as described
Apply sterile techniques and routine practices
Follow oral and written instructions precisely
Maintain confidentiality of entrusted information
Work independently and as a team member
Requirements: Completed Grade 12 or equivalent, Manitoba Standards
Medical Laboratory Assistant program completion preferred
CSMLS Medical Laboratory Assistant certification preferred
Basic math skills involving fractions, percentages, and ratios
Effective oral and written English communication required
