LCL Group of Companies is hiring an experienced Director of Finance to lead and take full ownership of the accounting and finance functions across our group of construction companies, including L. C. L. Excavation (2006) Inc, Pavage J. R. Lagacé Paving Inc, and Mac Arthur's Paving (2026) Inc.Reporting directly to the President, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, strengthening internal controls, and leading the accounting team. The Director of Finance will work closely with Operations to support financial performance, sound business decisions, and continuous improvement.This position offers the opportunity to play an increasingly important role in the group's overall direction and become a key member of the senior leadership team.Key Responsibilities Take full ownership and accountability for the accounting and finance functions across the group of companiesLead month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statements and consolidated reporting across all companiesOversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger managementManage construction job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, and project financial performance analysisWork with Operations to review project cost-to-complete forecasts, estimated margins, and cost variancesLead cash-flow forecasting, working capital management,



and financial planningDevelop and oversee annual budgets, financial forecasts, and management reportingCollaborate with Operations to evaluate profitability, equipment costs, capital expenditures, and opportunities for improvementEstablish and maintain solid internal controls, accounting policies, and consistent financial processes across the groupLead improvements to Acumatica ERP and related financial systems to increase efficiency and reporting capabilitiesManage relationships with external accountants, financial institutions, and other professional advisorsBuild, lead, mentor, and develop a strong and accountable accounting teamProvide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisionsWork closely with the President and senior leadership to support the group's continued growth and long-term financial performanceDevelop, streamline, and standardize financial processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and ease of use, establishing reliable controls that allow for oversight and periodic review rather than constant hands-on involvementWhat We're Looking For 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience,



including experience in a senior accounting or financial management roleProven ability to lead an accounting department, manage teams, and take ownership of financial operationsStrong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-company accountingExperience with construction accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, and project forecasting strongly preferredCPA designation preferredStrong budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis skillsDemonstrated ability to improve financial processes, systems, and departmental performanceProficiency with ERP systems and Excel; Acumatica experience isan assetStrong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively with operational teams and communicate financial information clearlyProactive, accountable, and comfortable making decisions and managing competing prioritiesA humble, hardworking, and results-driven approach to leadershipWhy Join LCL Group?
