The Animal Services

Officer monitors compliance with animal control, noise, licensing, community standards, and parking by-laws. The position responds to complaints, investigates infractions, and supports public safety. Duties include animal handling, evidence collection, court preparation, and collaboration with municipal departments and regional agencies.

Patrol assigned areas and document public inquiries and complaints Handle and transport sick, injured, dangerous, or deceased animals Issue offence notices and administrative penalties Certificate or diploma in police studies, justice, law, or related field Minimum two years of animal control related experience Secure handling experience with dangerous or aggressive domestic animals Bring animal handling, municipal enforcement, investigation, and report writing skills to the Town of Milton’s animal services team. #
