Advance artificial intelligence and Generative AI research at CIBC in Toronto through deep learning, natural language processing, and predictive modeling. Work hybrid, with one to three onsite days weekly.

As an individual contributor, you will shape strategic direction with AI Scientists, Engineers, and Product leaders across CIBC. The Applied AI Research team covers research partnerships, experimentation, and production systems. Your work will develop and improve AI capabilities while addressing practical problems through research-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and explore AI and Generative AI model capabilities

Evaluate advanced research in deep learning and NLP

Apply predictive modeling methods and related literature





Build production systems with researchers and engineers

Collaborate with academic faculty and research communities

Requirements: Advanced knowledge of deep learning, NLP, and big data

Track record of impactful projects and publications

Foundation model architecture and model efficiency knowledge

Large-scale GPU-accelerated model training experience

PhD and three-plus years related research experience, or equivalent

Bring deep learning research, GPU training, and Generative AI expertise to CIBC’s Applied AI team in Toronto.
