Reporting to the Facilitator, Schools Plus, the Community Outreach Worker provides direct support across Nova Family schools. The position helps families navigate community services and resources. It also facilitates after-school and group programming, with schedule flexibility required.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct support to children, youth, and families
Navigate families toward community services and resources
Collaborate with school and agency staff
Facilitate after-school programming
Deliver group programming during the school day
Requirements: Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a related field
Minimum two years’ experience or acceptable equivalent combination
Proven organizational and evaluation skills
Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License
Solid oral and written communication skills
