As an Optical Associate, you will welcome patients and help create positive eyewear experiences. Your work includes frame selection, prescription interpretation, facial measurements, repairs, adjustments, and contact lens support. You will also coordinate appointments, manage payments, and use technology throughout clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients in person, by phone, and email
- Recommend frames based on lifestyle, value, quality, and aesthetics
- Interpret optometrist prescriptions and complete facial measurements
- Perform eyewear repairs, adjustments,
and contact lens fittings
- Coordinate appointments, print prescriptions, and manage payments
Requirements:
- Previous optical or retail experience is an asset
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive approach
