Prepare competitive estimates for JATEC’s civil and utility projects in Edmonton, using cost analysis, drawings, and tender documentation in office.
As an Estimator reporting to the Director of Estimating, you will support telecommunications, underground utility, electrical, and civil construction pursuits. Your work will cover labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors while helping develop project schedules and execution plans. You will collaborate with Operations, Project Management, and Field Teams throughout bidding and delivery support.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate estimates for labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documents
Compile tender submissions and supporting documentation




Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
Price change orders and additional work requests
Requirements: Two to three years of construction estimating or project experience
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and delivery processes
Experience in telecommunications, utilities, electrical, or civil construction
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Experience with ERP systems and estimating software
Bring analytical estimating expertise, construction knowledge, and tender coordination skills to JATEC’s Edmonton infrastructure projects.
