About Us: The Roxy Cafe is a vibrant, fully plant-based cafe located in Downtown Vernon. We are passionate about serving delicious, high-quality vegan and vegetarian meals, baked goods, and exceptional coffee to our community.

The Role: We are seeking a barista who takes pride in their work and thrives in a positive, fast-paced cafe workplace. Hours: 30 -35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, and assembling a variety of quick, fresh sandwiches and light menu items.
- Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly met during beverage and food preparation.
- Maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the espresso station, front counter, and sandwich preparation areas.
- Assisting with inventory management, including restocking coffee beans, milks, syrups, bread, sandwich fillings, and other daily supplies as needed.
- Assisting with dishwashing (mugs, plates, barista equipment) and general cafe cleanup.




- Following instructions from management and collaborating closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and fast, friendly customer service.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a barista, cafe worker, or in light food and sandwich preparation.
- A genuine interest in coffee culture and vegan/vegetarian cafe fare is a huge plus!
- Strong understanding of food and beverage safety and sanitation practices (Food Safe certification preferred).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced cafe environment, smoothly handling both espresso drinks and quick food orders.
- Great teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
- Reliable and punctual with flexible availability.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
