This Registered Psychiatric Nurse works in the Adult Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Intensive Care unit. The position provides patient and family centered care within the collaborative care framework. You will promote, maintain, or restore health while supporting recovery-oriented, trauma-informed practice.
Key Responsibilities: Rapidly assess Psych ICU patients and formulate care plans
Implement and evaluate patient care interventions
Provide leadership through diverse psychiatric nursing services
Teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and families




Ensure patient safety and well-being during crises
Requirements: Accredited Psychiatric nursing education program completion
Active or eligible CRPNA registration and practice permit
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Health Care Provider certification
Ability to conduct mental health and mental status assessments
Evidence-based addiction and mental health treatment knowledge
Use psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and recovery-oriented care skills with Psych ICU patients at Alberta Hospital Edmonton.
