Use underwriting expertise and negotiation skills as an Intermediate Underwriter with Allstate, working fully remotely across the Ontario Greater Toronto Area. Support profitable personal lines growth while serving internal and external partners.
This Intermediate Underwriter provides technical support and direction to underwriting management and marketing forces. The work focuses on new business, endorsements, renewals, and in-force personal lines within assigned territories. You will contribute to quality reviews, problem solving, and solution-oriented discussions while building relationships for extraordinary customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Review, underwrite, and prepare recent business within guidelines
Process endorsements and renewals within established underwriting guidelines
Answer inquiries about policies, procedures,



rules, and regulations
Assess data accuracy and recommend options on referral files
Document files clearly according to organizational Best Practice
Requirements: Enroll in CIP or actively pursue the designation
Bring three to five years of underwriting experience
Demonstrate strong negotiation and customer service skills
Show strong attention to detail and learning ability
Collaborate effectively and work well independently
Apply personal lines underwriting, decision-making, and communication skills while supporting Allstate’s remote Ontario underwriting operations.
