Apply AutoCAD and GIS expertise as an Underground Structures Technologist 2 with The City of Winnipeg, working onsite in Winnipeg.
This permanent full time position supports Public Works under the Supervisor of Underground Structures. You will manage information requests, technical drawings, geospatial databases, cost estimates, and archival records. The work uses AutoCAD, GeoMedia, and ArcGIS.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate research and responses for underground utility information requests
Consolidate utility drawings using AutoCAD and GIS software
Administer GeoMedia and support transition to ArcGIS
Review technical drawings for standards and permit approvals
Maintain drawing indexes, cost databases, and tracking programs
Requirements: Technology graduate eligible for CTTAM membership
Five years of post-CET engineering support experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Office, and Acrobat
Experience interpreting technical drawings, plans, and legal descriptions
Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's Licence and CTTAM membership
Bring municipal engineering support, GIS analysis, drafting, and information management expertise to The City of Winnipeg’s Public Works team.
