Health and Safety Coordinator supporting aggregate operations, inspections, and incident investigations from Walker’s Niagara Falls office with regular local site travel.
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, this coordinator supports Walker’s Safety Management System across pits, quarries, and field sites. The work includes compliance, training, hazard assessments, and accurate reporting. You will collaborate with site teams, supervisors, and Joint Health and Safety Committees to strengthen proactive safety practices.
Key Responsibilities: Support compliance with legislation, policies, and Safety Management System standards
Develop site-specific Safe Operating Procedures and deliver employee training
Conduct inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigation support
Maintain eCompliance records, forms, checklists,
and field observations
Prepare weekly KPI updates for the Health and Safety Manager
Requirements: Three to five years of aggregate or construction safety experience
Post-secondary Occupational Health and Safety diploma or degree
CRSP designation or progress toward it considered an asset
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for site travel
Robust communication, organization, documentation, and legislative knowledge
Support Walker’s aggregate safety operations through field inspections, training, eCompliance reporting, and practical corrective actions across local sites.
