Business Analyst - Financial Domain Domain: Banking / Financial Services Employment Type: Full time / Contract We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 4+ years of experience in the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of banking and financial processes, requirements gathering, business process analysis, and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders to deliver financial technology solutions. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for financial and banking applications.

Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and project managers. Analyze financial workflows, business processes, and system integrations. Support projects related to banking operations, payments, lending, credit cards, loans, or financial reporting.

Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and root-cause analysis. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.

Coordinate User Acceptance

Testing (UAT), validate test scenarios, and support defect resolution. Ensure requirements align with business objectives, internal policies, and applicable financial regulations. Support data analysis, reconciliation,



and reporting using Excel and SQL where required. 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services or banking domain. ~ Strong understanding of financial processes and banking operations. ~ Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies. ~ Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and Visio. ~ Basic SQL skills for data validation and analysis. ~ Experience with Canadian banks, credit unions, fintech companies, or financial institutions.

Exposure to payment processing, wire transfers, ACH/EFT, SWIFT, lending, mortgages, or credit risk. Knowledge of KYC, AML, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.

Experience with financial data reconciliation, reporting, and system integrations. Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is an advantage. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of relevant Business Analyst experience.
