Overview

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter/Foreman to lead field crews and perform hands-on carpentry work across construction projects. This role combines skilled trade work with day-to-day crew supervision, coordination, and quality oversight. The successful candidate will help keep work safe, organized, and aligned with project plans, schedules, and specifications.

Responsibilities

- Perform and oversee carpentry work, including layout, framing, installation, and finish work, in accordance with project documents and applicable standards.
- Supervise and coordinate crew members, assign daily tasks, and monitor progress on site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide work and resolve field questions.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to support efficient sequencing and minimize delays.
- Inspect completed and in-progress work for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with specifications; address quality-control issues promptly.
- Track materials, tools, equipment, and labor needs, and communicate shortages or schedule concerns to project leadership.




- Support construction estimating and budgeting by providing field input on labor, materials, and work requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and reinforce protected work practices with the crew.
- Document progress, field conditions, and project updates using construction management software.
- Excavator experience an asset.

Skills

- Demonstrated construction experience and strong hands-on carpentry skills.
- Supervising experience, including the ability to guide crews, communicate expectations, and coordinate work.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics.
- Knowledge of quality control practices and construction standards.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and budgeting.
- Experience with construction management software;
- Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to balance field responsibilities with documentation and coordination tasks.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
