Penske’s Diesel Technician III is an entry-level mechanic’s helper and apprentice role. You will perform minor repairs, assist with major component work, and complete preventive maintenance under direction. Training covers vehicle systems, tools, safety, and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Remove, replace, or adjust brakes and fifth wheels
- Complete minor electrical, cab, and trailer repairs
- Perform trained preventive maintenance on vehicles
- Use hand, power, welding, and lifting tools safely
- Maintain work area appearance and safety

Requirements:

- One to two years’ vehicle or truck repair experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current enrollment in an apprentice program required
- Class G or class 5 driver’s license required
- Basic computer skills and hand-tool knowledge preferred
