Cook – Johnny Greeko’s Brantford

Johnny Greeko’s Brantford is currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Cook to join our Back of House kitchen team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, works well under pressure, and takes pride in preparing high-quality food while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to Johnny Greeko’s recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and other cooking stations
- Ensure all food is prepared accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner
- Maintain speed and efficiency during busy lunch and dinner rushes without compromising food quality
- Complete daily food preparation, including portioning, cutting, and organizing ingredients
- Follow proper food handling, storage, temperature control, and food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen throughout each shift
- Monitor inventory, rotate ingredients, and minimize food waste
- Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties
- Communicate effectively with FOH and BOH team members to ensure smooth and timely service
- Support coworkers and assist at other kitchen stations as needed

What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, particularly in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and protected food handling practices
- Must be reliable with strong attendance and treat scheduled shifts as a commitment
- Strong work ethic,

- Ability to work efficiently, multitask, and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours
- Must be comfortable working under pressure, maintaining urgency, and keeping up with incoming orders
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and established kitchen procedures consistently
- Ability to problem solve independently and take initiative before escalating to management
- Team-oriented mindset with awareness of surroundings and willingness to support coworkers
- Understanding that food quality, consistency, and timely service are always top priorities
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform the physical duties of a busy kitchen
- Willingness to take direction, accept feedback, and continuously improve
- Open availability, including daytime and evening shifts (closed Sundays)
