Job Summary

Little Campus Montessori is looking for a caring and dependable Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Infant Toddler Educator (ECE-IT) to join our team in Esquimalt.

Our licensed Montessori program cares for children from 1 to 3 years old. We offer a warm, welcoming workplace where children learn through play, explore Montessori activities, and enjoy time outdoors.

The educator will support children’s learning, development, and well-being. They will build positive relationships with children, families, and team members, and help create a safe and inclusive classroom.

This is a paid position. Training and orientation will be provided.

Duties

- Provide attentive care and supervision for young children.
- Prepare and lead age-appropriate Montessori and play-based activities.
- Support children’s daily routines, including meals, rest time, personal care, and transitions.
- Encourage children’s independence, curiosity, and learning through exploration.
- Support outdoor play and help children enjoy our playground and outdoor learning activities.
- Adapt activities to support children’s different abilities and needs.
- Observe children’s learning and share relevant updates with families and colleagues.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized,



and safe.
- Communicate respectfully with children, families, and team members.
- Complete daily records and other written documentation accurately and on time.
- Use basic computer programs and classroom technology.
- Work with the team to provide consistent care and learning.

Skills and Qualifications
- A valid ECE or ECE-IT certificate from the BC ECE Registry.
- Experience working with young children is an asset.
- Knowledge of early childhood education, childcare, or Montessori practices is an asset.
- Experience supporting children with diverse abilities or additional needs is an asset.
- Clear communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Good organization, patience, teamwork, and judgment.
- English proficiency is required. French or other language skills are an asset.
- A caring and flexible approach, with a commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.

ECE-IT certification and experience with children from 1 to 3 years old are preferred. Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
