Overview

- The Event Security Guard helps maintain a safe, orderly environment for guests, staff, performers, and vendors at events.

- This role involves visible security presence, attentive observation, and professional, courteous interactions with the public.

- Guards follow event procedures, communicate concerns promptly, and support a positive guest experience while protecting people and property.

Responsibilities

- Monitor entrances, exits, event spaces, and restricted areas to help prevent unauthorized access.

- Conduct surveillance of assigned areas and report unusual activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.

- Observe CCTV feeds when assigned and promptly relay relevant information to the appropriate team members.

- Support crowd management, including directing guests and helping maintain clear walkways and emergency access routes.

- Apply loss prevention practices by watching for suspicious activity and safeguarding event property.

- Respond calmly to incidents, follow established emergency procedures, and request assistance when needed.

- Provide clear directions and assistance to guests while maintaining a professional,



approachable presence.

- Complete shift briefings, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately.

- Coordinate with event staff and, when appropriate, law enforcement or emergency responders.

Requirements

- Robust observation, communication, and customer-service skills.

- Ability to remain alert, composed, and professional in busy or changing event environments.

- Ability to follow instructions, venue policies, and applicable safety procedures.

- Availability to work event schedules, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

- Prior security, event operations, law enforcement, military, or loss prevention experience is helpful but not required.

- Familiarity with CCTV monitoring and incident reporting is an asset.

- Any required security license or certification must be current and appropriate to the work location.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
