Job Summary

We are seeking engaging and dependable French tutors to help learners build confidence and proficiency in French. Tutors will tailor lessons to students’ goals and skill levels, using clear explanations, structured practice, and supportive feedback. The role may involve individual tutoring or small-group instruction, including working with children.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver French lessons focused on speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Assess learners’ current abilities and adapt instruction to their needs, interests, and progress.
- Develop or select lesson materials, exercises, and activities that encourage practical language use.
- Support students with French grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, and writing skills.
- Provide constructive feedback and track student progress.
- Create a welcoming, patient, and organized learning environment.
- Communicate with students and, when appropriate, families about learning goals and progress.




- Use relevant teaching and tutoring methods to keep lessons engaging and accessible.

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in French and the ability to explain language concepts clearly.
- Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of Spanish, Mandarin, or Japanese is a plus.
- Experience in tutoring, teaching, or classroom instruction preferred.
- Experience working with children is an advantage.
- Strong writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, reliability, and the ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles and levels.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 – 6.0 per week
