Skilled Builder – Exterior Finishing

Window & Door Install | Rainscreen | Metal Panels | Metal Roofing | Cedar T&G; | Composite Systems

Please read the entire post and answer all questions when applying.

Applications will be reviewed the first week of November, with interviews starting the second week of November. Only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.

Do you know that a window install is about precision, not "close enough"?

Do you understand that rainscreen isn't decorative, it's protection?

Do you take pride in straight metal panels, tight joints, clean flashing details, and work that doesn't leak five years from now?

Are you looking for a team that's going somewhere, and wants you to go with them?

If that's you, keep reading.

Who We Are

At Elk Ridge Modular, we build high-end modular homes and cabins under one roof in Coldstream, BC. That's 18,000 sq ft of clean, organized shop with room to move and room to grow.

Our buildings leave the shop anywhere from 90% to 100% complete, so the building envelope gets done here, in a controlled environment. That means no fighting the weather and no mud, and you have the time and conditions to dial in exterior systems properly.

We're building multi-module, multi-storey projects headed for some of the coolest locations in BC. We're growing fast, the work keeps getting more interesting, and we're doing it with a team that gives a damn.

What We're AboutOur Purpose

We exist to inspire trust and confidence by building exceptional homes and cultivating a world-class team. We're here to lead the industry forward with craftsmanship, innovation, and a commitment to being here for our clients, today and in the next decade.

Our Niche

We thrive on unique builds and challenging locations. Where other builders say no, we find a way. From design to delivery, we bring innovation and transparency to every stage.

Our Core Values

Bring The Energy

Move with purpose. Everything you do moves the team forward.

Innovate Relentlessly

Challenge the status quo. Find the better, smarter way.

Own Your Impact

We take responsibility for our work, our actions, and the outcomes they create.

Team Up For Growth

Commitment to personal and professional growth. We win as a team and lose as a team.

These aren't posters on a wall. They're how we hire, how we run our meetings, and how we decide who moves up.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a Skilled Builder in Exterior Finishing to take ownership of the exterior envelope phase of our builds.

This role focuses on:

- Window & exterior door installation
- Rainscreen systems
- Metal wall panel systems
- Metal roofing systems
- Cedar tongue & groove
- Composite cladding systems
- Flashing and waterproofing details

- Trim, fascia, and finishing work tied to the exterior envelope

You'll work in a structured production environment alongside our framing, insulation, and interior teams to bring projects to completion. You'll also help mentor Entry-Level Builders working in the exterior phases.

But the trade skill is only half of it. We can teach process and systems, and we'll invest in your development. What we're looking for is someone with the right attitude who wants to grow with us.

Here's who does well here:

You're honest, even when it costs you something. If you screw up, you say so. If something's wrong, you flag it early instead of hoping nobody notices. We'd rather hear about a problem at 9am than find it at 4pm.

You take pride in your work. Not because someone's watching, but because you can't help it. You care what your work looks like with your name on it.

You want to get better. You're not looking for a place to coast for the next ten years. You want to learn, take on more, and be worth more a year from now than you are today.

You bring ideas, not just complaints. If you see a better way to do something, we want to hear it. Some of our best process changes came from someone on the floor saying "why do we do it like this?"

You're easy to work alongside. You show up happy and eager. You take feedback without getting defensive, you help someone who's stuck, and you don't make the day harder for the people around you.

You show up. Consistently, on time, ready to go. It sounds basic. It isn't.

You have a sense of humour. We work hard and we go at it, but we like the people we work with.

If you understand that exterior finishing is protection, not decoration, you'll fit here.
