RJames Western Star (a division of RJames Management Group Ltd.) offers sales, maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and semi-trucks. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team at our Kamloops or Kelowna shop.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate daily dispatching and scheduling for a small fleet of trucks
- Oversee drivers, assign routes and deliveries, and monitor daily performance




- Communicate with drivers and to ensure timely and productive service
- Help coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep the fleet safe and operational
- Monitor vehicle readiness and help minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Assist with resolving scheduling issues, delivery delays, and other operational challenges
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver schedules, and vehicle maintenance documentation

Experience:

- dispatch: 2 years (preferred)
- truck driving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 3 Licence (preferred)
