Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Grocery Clerk and Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, operate the cash register, stock shelves, maintain store cleanliness, and help ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers. Full open availability to work evenings and weekends. Must be above the age of 17 years.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and concerns professionally.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and check expiry dates.
- Receive, unpack, and organize merchandise and deliveries.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked shelves, aisles, and checkout areas.
- Check product prices, labels, and promotional displays for accuracy.
- Assist customers with locating products and carrying groceries when needed.
- Follow food safety, workplace health and safety,



and store procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move merchandise as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Previous grocery or cashier experience is an asset but not required.
