Vancouver Coastal Health seeks a Communicable Disease Nurse in Vancouver, BC, applying public health nursing and communicable disease expertise. Working on the Communicable Disease Control team, the Registered Nurse provides follow-up for cases, contacts, outbreaks, and STBBIs. The position includes screening, assessment, investigation, surveillance, education, counselling, prevention, and action planning.

Work supports clients across wide-ranging settings, including outreach services for vulnerable and marginalized clients. Provide public health follow-up for reportable communicable diseases Deliver screening, assessment, education, counselling, and surveillance Collaborate with Medical Health Officers and healthcare providers Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM Completed BCCDC Immunization Competency Course Current BCCNM STI Certification in Reproductive Health Two years’ recent related public health clinical experience Valid British Columbia driver’s licence and personal vehicle access Apply public health nursing, STI care, outbreak response, and culturally safe practice with Vancouver Coastal Health. #
