About the Role

You will be the person who keeps our facility running, splitting your time between regular cleaning and upkeep.

What You'll Do

- Clean offices, washrooms, kitchen, meeting rooms and common areas on a set weekly routine
- Keep the lab, production floor and shipping bay floors clear, swept and secure, working carefully around sensitive instruments
- Take out garbage and recycling, and manage cardboard and packaging waste from shipping
- Restock cleaning, washroom and kitchen supplies, and flag when we need to reorder
- Handle repairs: patching drywall, painting, replacing bulbs, adjusting doors and hardware, assembling furniture and shelving
- Do seasonal work such as clearing walkways and entrances of snow and ice, salting, and keeping the grounds tidy
- Spot bigger issues (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roof) early, report them,



and let contractors in when they arrive

What We're Looking For

Required

- At least 1 year of paid work in cleaning, janitorial, building maintenance or a trade
- Hands-on experience with common hand and power tools (drill, saw, level, stud finder)
- Able to lift 23 kg (50 lb), use a ladder, and be on your feet for a full shift
- Reliable transportation to Hanwell
- Comfortable working alone from a task list and checking in when something is unclear
- Comfortable operating a forklift
