We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity in Mississauga. This is a stand-alone AP role requiring someone who can independently manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, from invoice processing through vendor payments and reconciliation. Hands-on SAP experience is required. The successful candidate must be comfortable taking ownership of daily AP operations, resolving issues, and meeting payment deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
Independently manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
Review invoices for proper documentation, approvals, and general ledger coding.
Complete three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving records, and vendor invoices.
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and unmatched transactions.
Prepare and process scheduled payment runs, including cheque runs, in accordance with internal controls.
Maintain accurate invoice, vendor, and payment information in SAP.
Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable balances, following up on outstanding items.
Respond to vendor inquiries and work with internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
Maintain organized AP records and support month-end activities and audit requests.

Minimum of three years of accounts payable experience, including high-volume processing in a stand-alone AP role.
Mandatory hands-on SAP experience, including invoice processing and payment transactions.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage the full AP cycle with minimal supervision.
Strong understanding of general ledger coding,



three-way matching, vendor reconciliations, and payment runs.
Experience investigating and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Clear, qualified communication skills when working with vendors and internal teams.
Availability to work fully on site in Mississauga for the duration of the contract.
