We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as full-time or part time Horse Care Help at our private horse boarding facility. This role is essential for maintaining the well-being of our horses and ensuring a safe and clean environment. Ideal candidates will have a love for and experience with animals, particularly horses, and possess the ability to perform various tasks related to their care.
Duties
- Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Clean stalls and maintain a tidy barn environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of horses, reporting any concerns to management.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to hay bales, feed bags, and other supplies.
- Help with general farm maintenance tasks such as fencing repairs and pasture upkeep.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while handling horses and operating machinery.
Requirements
- Experience working with horses
- Experience or familiarity with farm machinery (gator, tractor) is a plus.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
- A genuine passion for animal care, particularly horses.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing tasks as needed.
