Support diverse learners as an Education Assistant, using personal care, academic assistance, and positive behaviour support in inclusive settings. Work under classroom teacher direction. This temporary Education Assistant position supports students with diverse abilities, including autism, chronic health conditions, trauma, and complex behaviours.

You will follow IEP goals, Staff Response Plans, and school procedures while assisting classroom programs. The assignment continues until the incumbent returns or June 25, 2027, for 32.9 hours weekly when students are in session.

Key Responsibilities: Implement supports outlined in students’ Individualized Education Plans Provide personal care and physical assistance with required training Reinforce academic, life, social,



and positive behaviour skills Collect learning and behaviour data for student documentation Supervise students in classrooms, schools, and community settings Requirements: One-year Education Assistant certificate from an accredited institute Current autism course of at least 25 hours, if required At least 180 supervised school practicum hours Effective oral and written communication skills Calm, empathetic, adaptable, and adaptable approach Apply your IEP knowledge, compassionate support, and documentation skills as an Education Assistant serving diverse students.
