Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, industrial, and commercial renovation settings. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working from blueprints and schematics while using a range of hand and power tools. This role may involve current construction, upgrades, and service work across varied job sites.

Responsibilities

- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and control systems.

- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and schematics to determine layouts and installation requirements.

- Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, and complete repairs in accordance with applicable codes and safety practices.

- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.

- Perform low-voltage installation and troubleshooting as required.

- Support construction and renovation projects, including equipment upgrades and system modifications.

- Work with industrial electrical systems and assist with programmable logic controller (PLC) equipment and controls.





- Coordinate with other trades and team members to complete work efficiently and maintain a clean, organized work area.

- Follow job-site safety procedures and report hazards, equipment concerns, or work requiring additional attention.

Qualifications

- Journeyman electrician credentials or equivalent qualifications required for the work location.

- Demonstrated electrical experience, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

- Experience using common electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments.

- Construction experience; renovation experience is a plus.

- Industrial electrician experience and familiarity with programmable logic controllers are preferred.

- Low-voltage experience is a plus.

- Handyman experience or broad repair skills are beneficial.

- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to safe work practices.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, follow instructions, and adapt to changing project needs.

Pay: $34.00-$48.00 per hour
