Power systems expertise meets field service as a Journeyperson Electrician/HET with Finning Canada, supporting CAT generators across customer sites and industries.

This permanent position supports Finning Canada’s Power & Energy service team. You will install, commission, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CAT generator sets, battery energy storage systems, electrical distribution and control systems, and compressed air products. Work requires technical capability, safety commitment, and independent field-based performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and commission diesel and natural gas CAT generator sets
- Service and troubleshoot generator controls, ATS, switchgear, and distribution equipment
- Perform functional verification, load bank testing, and electrical testing
- Read electrical schematics,



wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams
- Perform mechanical work on engines and air compressors

Requirements:

- Journeyperson Electrician certification; Red Seal preferred
- HET certification, apprenticeship, or willingness to pursue apprenticeship
- Arc Flash and Shock Electrical Safety Training, CSAZ462
- Proven generator or power systems experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and successful recent driver’s abstract
