Job Details

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

- Feeds cartons into gluers, formers and windower.
- Picks up cartons from delivery table and stacks it on skid or into cases according to packing specs.
- Checks cartons for quality.
- Uses taper.
- Operates carton packer.
- Operates strapper and wrapper on WIP and finished product.
- Operates walkie with valid license.
- Performs material handling.
- Assists in make readies.
- Labels product.




- Completes paperwork including shift reports.
- Maintains standards for line clearance, quality checks, safety champion and production.
- Completes trigger boards when required.
- Performs duties according to SOPs.
- Maintains housekeeping and completes cleaning schedules.
- Ensures that Health & Safety and SQF standards are maintained.
- Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International's good reputation in relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and acts consistently with the core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

- Folding carton experience strongly preferred.
- Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
- Visual color discrimination, including the ability to match or detect differences between colors and shades.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

- General schedules are an 8-hour, 3-shift operation and/or 12-hour continental shifts with rotating weekends off.



Employees must be willing to work alternate schedules or overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
- Occasional walking, bending and turning.
- Frequent reaching and twisting.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reading computer screens or other electronic devices.
- Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
- Working in areas of fluctuating temperature.
