Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, motivated Junior Hairstylist to support our salon team and deliver a welcoming, skilled experience for every client. This role is a great opportunity to build hands-on skills in hair styling while learning salon procedures and developing lasting client relationships. The position is paid, with training and guidance provided as you grow in the role.

Responsibilities

- Welcome clients, learn about their needs, and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit.
- Assist with consultations and perform hair styling services appropriate to your training and experience.
- Prepare workstations and tools, and follow salon sanitation and hygiene procedures.
- Support front desk tasks, such as greeting clients, managing appointments, and helping maintain an organized reception area.
- Recommend suitable hair-care products and services through helpful, client-focused retail sales and upselling.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with clients, coworkers, and salon leadership.
- Keep the salon clean, stocked,



and ready for appointments.
- Participate in ongoing training and follow feedback to strengthen technical and service skills.

Requirements

- Interest in building a career in hairstyling; relevant education, training, or salon experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a warm and professional approach.
- Willingness to learn hair styling techniques and follow direction from experienced stylists.
- Attention to detail and commitment to sanitation, cleanliness, and safe handling of salon tools and products.
- Comfort assisting with front desk duties, product recommendations, retail sales, and upselling when appropriate.
- Dependability, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a busy salon environment.

Pay: $18.25-$29.60 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
