Edge Land Services

100 Mile House

Will train the right person.

Whether you've got years of seat time, a faller's ticket, or you're just getting started, if you want a future in forestry and earthworks I want to hear from you. This isn't a fill-in job for the winter. There's a lot of work lined up and I'm looking for someone who's going to stick around and grow with the company.

About us

Edge Land Services is a forestry and earthworks company based out of 100 Mile House. Most of our work is tree removal, land clearing, brushing, FireSmart and wildfire fuel reduction, and piling and burning slash. We also do excavation, grading, site prep, gravel and fill work, and fencing. We work for municipalities, engineering firms, contractors and landowners. We run a CAT 305 excavator and a John Deere 335P skid steer, and bring in other machines like dozers when the job calls for it. We started in 2025 and are working through our SAFE Companies certification.

Where we work

Jobs are anywhere in the Cariboo, from Clinton up to Williams Lake and everywhere in between, with some work in other parts of BC. A lot of it is out on back roads so you need a dependable 4x4.

If you're already an operator

You'll be in the seat. Clearing, digging, grading, site prep, piling and loading. I want someone who can run clean, read grade, look after the equipment and work on their own when they need to. Pay reflects what you can do.

If you've got your faller's ticket

This is a big one for me. If you're a certified faller I want to talk to you. It's not a full time falling job. It's falling when the work calls for it, mixed in with running equipment, saw work and everything else that goes on. If you're tired of the seasonal grind and want steady year round work, this could be a good fit.

If you're newer

You don't need to be an operator to apply. If you've done hard physical work,

show up every day and want to learn, I'll teach you. You'll start on the ground and get more seat time as you prove yourself.

What a day looks like

We meet up, do the tailgate and machine checks, and get to it. Some days you're in the seat all day, some days you're on the saw, and some days it's both. It's a small crew so you're working right alongside me, not lost in a big outfit. I'll show you how I want things done and why, and if you want to learn more I'll keep teaching you.

Hours

Full time, 7:30 start most days. Long days when a job needs pushing and the odd weekend. Lots of winter work, including burning once the snow comes.

Why work here

You won't be doing the same thing every day. One week it's clearing and falling, the next it's digging and grading, and through the winter it's burning. Your work gets noticed because it's just us out there. I'm building this company for the long haul and I want guys who want to grow with it.

Who I'm looking for

Someone who shows up, works hard, cares about doing it right and wants to keep getting better. Whether you're an operator or a faller who wants steady work, or you're green and want to learn the trade, if that sounds like you, apply.

How to apply

Apply here or email your resume to [email protected]. Tell me what equipment you've run and for how long, and what tickets you have. No resume? Send me a message with your experience and I'll give you a call. No experience but willing to work? Apply anyways.

Pay: $24.00-$42.00 per hour
