We are seeking a caring, collaborative Educational Assistant (EA) Subs to support our students in an inclusive, positive learning environment. Working under the direction of the classroom and resource teachers, you will help students build academic skills, confidence and independence.

Educational Assistant (EA) Sub

Job location: Winnipeg, MB

Reports to: Principal

Job type: Substitute

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and small-group learning support, reinforcing teacher-directed instruction and individualized learning goals.
- Support positive behaviour, emotional regulation, classroom routines and student independence.
- Prepare learning materials, assist with classroom administration and record student progress while maintaining confidentiality.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess and lunch; assist with personal care or mobility needs, where applicable.




- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and support student well-being.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree or higher in education, child development or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of instructional support and classroom management practices.
- Strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills, with patience, flexibility and initiative.
- Ability to support varied learning needs and maintain confidentiality.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
