Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Automotive Service Department Appointment Coordinator to help customers schedule and prepare for vehicle service. You’ll coordinate appointments, communicate service needs, and support the service team in delivering a smooth, qualified customer experience. Dealership experience is helpful, and training may be provided on dealership systems and processes.

Duties

- Answer customer inquiries and schedule, confirm, or adjust service appointments.
- Gather information about customers’ vehicles and reported concerns to help the service team prepare for each visit.
- Explain available maintenance and repair services in clear, customer-friendly language.
- Identify relevant service options and use consultative sales and upselling skills without pressuring customers.
- Coordinate appointment details with service advisors, technicians, and other dealership staff.
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records in dealership scheduling systems.
- Support check-in and follow-up processes, including communicating appointment updates.




- Handle customer payments when needed and follow established cash-handling procedures.
- Provide courteous, timely customer service in person and through dealership communication channels.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Sales experience and comfort discussing automotive services; experience with upselling is a plus.
- Previous dealership experience is required.
- Mechanic experience or practical mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, or service-department operations is beneficial.
- Cash-handling experience and attention to accuracy are preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple appointments and priorities in a busy environment.
- Professional, dependable approach and willingness to learn dealership procedures and software.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
